Speaking as a new Cardiff City player Don Cowie describes his thoughts on making the move to South Wales. “I enjoyed playing under Malky Mackay at Watford and I am delighted to link up with him again. My two-and-a-half years at Watford was the best spell of my career to date and I was said to leave, but excited about the new challenge. “I was away on holiday in Florida when Malky Mackay was appointed Cardiff manager and I was disappointed he was leaving. Now, though, it feels great. “I am blown away by the facilities here at the new training ground and stadium. The facilities are amazing.” Cowie is aged 28 and has signed a three year deal. He describes himself as a 'box to box' midfielder. He was highly thought of at Watford and looks to be a cracking signing for City. “I enjoy creating goals,” he says. “I’d love to score more and I’ll be aiming to do that this season.” Cowie made his full Scotland debut at Cardiff City Stadium when they met Wales on a good day with the home side wining 3 - 0.
