Confusion over McCormack 'move'

Quotes attributed to the Scotland international striker appeared in the Hull Daily Mail on Tuesday when, regarding a move to the KC Stadium, he reportedly said "I would definitely be interested" and that Cardiff's £5million valuation "is pricing people out of the market". McCormack hit back just hours later saying "I don't know where those quotes have been dug up from", but the north-east paper have on Wednesday backed up the quotes made to them by the 22-year-old. The striker even called Peter Ridsdale in Malaysia to explain the tricky situation, the Bluebirds chairman telling the South Wales Echo: "Ross contacted me because he was concerned about how the story came across. "He wanted to outline his stance, but Ross is contracted to us and we have a certain fee that we rate him at. If that fee is not met, he stays a Cardiff player like anybody else in the squad."
