Hull City's relentless chase of the Bluebirds could see them within a whisker of City after they play Bolton at The Reebok on Saturday.
Cardiff aren't playing until Sunday, and will still have two games in hand, but it just shows that even an 8 point lead can be fragile when a defeat and different playing days are involved.
Watford and Palace will also be thinking that City are catchable but they are 8 and 9 points behind at the moment having played a game more.
