Cardiff look to have missed out Icelandic international striker Bjorn Sigurdarson who has agreed a deal with Wolves.

Sigurdarson's name has been linked for a number of weeks but his agent has revealed a fee has been agreed with Wolves. He will though risk his transfer by continuing to play in Norway.

“He was sold to Wolverhampton for three million euros, but if he is injured during the games he will play in Norway, he will not be offered a contract,” said agent Jerry De Koning.

“Therefore, he will play under a great risk. I think that everyone understands that Björn is in a very difficult situation.”

Cardiff have publicly declared their interest in Burnley's Jay Rodriguez (who is going to Southampton) and Jamie Vardy who went to Leicester.
