Both parties reach an amicable agreement.

It was revealed earlier this week that Dave Jones was taking action against Cardiff City unpaid bonuses from his time at the club.

This matter has now been resolved.

Cardiff City chairman Simon Lim said: “On behalf of Tan Sri Vincent Tan and Cardiff City Football Club, I thank Dave Jones for speaking with us in Cardiff on Tuesday, resulting in an amicable settlement being reached.

“All at the club thank Dave Jones for his valuable contribution to the club during his tenure as manager and wish him our very best in his future career.”

Dave Jones said:

“I would like to place on record my thanks to Tan Sri Vincent Tan, Simon Lim and representatives of Cardiff City Football Club for the professional nature in which this matter was concluded in recent days.

“Having spoken directly with Mr Tan, informing him of matters that he had no prior knowledge, an amicable agreement was quickly reached to the mutual benefit of all concerned.

“For that he has my gratitude.

Jones went onto congratulate the club for their on-field success which has seen them reach the Premier League this year.

He said: “I am glad that this issue has been resolved, following what was an enjoyable period of my managerial career in South Wales.

“I congratulate the club for their promotion and extend my best wishes to the supporters and staff at Cardiff City. I will monitor their progress in the Premier League next season, wishing Malky Mackay and his squad every success.”
