City set for triple injury boost
Whittingham suffered a torn groin against West Brom last month, McPhail picked up a rib injury at the start of February while Kennedy has been out with a calf problem.[LNB]It is welcome news for boss Dave Jones, who was angered by his side's display in the 2-0 defeat by Ipswich at Portman Road.[LNB]He told the club's official website: "Hopefully they'll be back. We must be careful we don't expect too much of them, especially Stevie, but they might put the jitters up one or two players and get them worried about whether they can keep their place.[LNB]"That's what we need now, we need to knuckle down and get a bit of competition because certain players just think there's nothing there for them in terms of competition and just think they will keep their place.[LNB]"That's not healthy in a football club - you've got to have competition."[LNB][LNB]
