Everything at the famous old stadium is being sold in an e-Bay-style auction including the turnstiles, corner flags, the PA system, control box, the centre spot, the changing room doors, directors' seats and manager Dave Jones' office sofa. The auction, organised by property consultants King Sturge, will run from 10.00am today (Fri) to 1.00pm on Wednesday. King Sturge auctioneer Ian Bacon told BBC Sport: "Everyone has got their own memories of the stadium so it's difficult to say what you think something might make. It's just how much people want a bit of history. "We have already had a lot of inquiries and we know from our experience of doing similar sales that sports fans are passionate people who will stop at nothing to get their hands on a part of their club's fabric." Funds raised from the auction will be put back into the club.
