Chopra to undergo X-ray

Cardiff striker Michael Chopra will undergo an X-ray after he injured his ankle against Doncaster. Chopra was forced off after just half an hour of the 4-0 home win on Saturday. "It is his ankle," Bluebirds boss Dave Jones told the South Wales Echo. "We'll have him off for X-rays. The ankle was twisted after a poor tackle." Jones also revealed that Chopra was joined in the treatment room by defensive pair Kevin McNaughton and Darcy Blake. Jones confirmed Wales international Blake "rolled his ankle" in the warm-up and was replaced in the starting line-up by teenager Adam Matthews. Scottish full-back McNaughton limped off after just 18 minutes after pulling up sharply with a hamstring strain. He was replaced by debutant left-back Lee Naylor. The injured trio are doubts for Cardiff's Carling Cup trip to Peterborough on Tuesday night.
