Chopra in the hunt

Cardiff manager Dave Jones may opt to start Michael Chopra as his promotion-chasing side travel to relegation-threatened Preston. The striker made a quicker-than-expected recovery from a hamstring injury to come on as an 87th-minute substitute in Saturday's 2-2 draw with champions-elect QPR. That could prompt Jones to include Chopra in his XI as the Bluebirds look to capitalise on a potential slip from second-placed Norwich to move into the automatic promotion places. Jones has no new injury or suspension concerns, meaning centre-back Mark Hudson and goalkeeper David Marshall, struggling with knee and elbow injuries respectively, are the only players on the treatment table. Jones' side are currently one point adrift of the Canaries, who take on Derby at Carrow Road.
