Chopra completes Bluebirds switch

Chopra joined Sunderland from the Bluebirds in the summer of 2007 but failed to pin down a first-team place at the Stadium of Light and twice returned to the Welsh capital on loan.[LNB]The striker's most recent loan deal at the Championship side expired at the end of last season but Cardiff have now exercised their option to buy the 25-year-old.[LNB]Chopra, who agreed a three-year deal, told Cardiff's official website: "I'm really glad it's all sorted now and, like all the other lads, I'm excited and determined to go that extra mile to gain promotion.[LNB]"We are putting 110% into training and there is a good feeling within the squad.[LNB]"The new stadium looks magnificent and the lads can't wait for the opener against Scunthorpe.[LNB]"These are exciting times for Cardiff and I'm really glad to now be a part of this."[LNB]Chopra is the third player to sign for Cardiff this week after the arrival of centre-backs Mark Hudson and Anthony Gerrard, while full-back Paul Quinn is also expected to complete his move from Motherwell in the coming days.[LNB][LNB] Sunderland Specials.
