Paul Jewell leaves Ipswich after seven defeats in their last 10 matches.

The three games they didn't lose they only drew and time has been called on Jewell's tenure.

In other managerial news Dougie Freedman has left Crystal palace to take up the job at Bolton. He will replace Owen Coyle who was sacked a couple of weeks ago.

That leaves City's old boss Lennie Lawrence in caretaker charge at Palace.

As well as Ipswich looking for a new manager Burnley are still looking as well after Eddie Howe returned to his former club Bournemouth last week.

Cardiff's next two games are against Burnley at home on Saturday and away to Bolton on Saturday week. A game that's going to be Freedman's first home game and it's live on Sky.
