Cardiff sweat on trio

Cardiff will check on their three injured defenders ahead of the visit of Wolves.

Scott Malone limped out of their 0-0 draw at Huddersfield last Saturday while Lee Peltier missed the 1-0 win at Wigan four days later but even if the pair are declared fit boss Russell Slade may keep the faith with the back four that kept the Latics at bay.

That would mean midfielder Joe Ralls containing in an unfamiliar left-back role if Brazilian Fabio is still absent with a calf problem.

Kenwyne Jones and Eoin Doyle are likely to continue their partnership upfront as Cardiff look to build on their four-point haul from their travels.

Bakary Sako is fit for Wolves after coming off early in Tuesday's 3-0 win over Fulham with a stomach problem.

The forward scored twice in the first half before being withdrawn before the hour.

Carl Ikeme and Tommy Rowe continue to be sidelined for Kenny Jackett's side with broken metatarsals.

Kevin Doyle remains in contention as talks continue over the forward's proposed move to Colorado Rapids.
