Cardiff players in the black as wages are paid

30 March 2010 17:47
There was uncertainty on Monday as it was revealed that the wages had not been paid at the Cardiff City Stadium. Hardly the best of starts to a week that sees City face Leicester (tonight), Swansea (Saturday) and Nottingham Forest (Monday). Possibly the week that takes City to the edge of play of qualification. The money was due yesterday but a delay in the international transfer of funds from prospective new own/investor TG meant the cash only arrived today. It's thought a combination of TG's money (to pay the players) alongwith funds from other directors Steve Borley and Alamn Whitely covered the staff's salaries.Chairman Peter Ridsdale said today. "The money from TG has arrived, it came this morning. We've pushed the button and everyone has been paid. It's good news."TG will hopewfully complete a major £6m investment before the end of April.
