Cardiff City v Celtic. Tonight, ko 7:45pm.

20 July 2011 17:47
Cardiff City welcome Celtic to CCS this evening for a home friendly against Malky Mackay's former side. It's a final warm up game for the Glasgow side who start the SPL season this weekend. They will bring back Joe Ledley, Adam Matthews and Glenn Loovens with them, all three former Cardiff players. “I’m excited about the game,” said Matthews. “I had good times over 10 years at City and am looking forward to going back and seeing my old mates. “It will be a bit strange and I’ll do my best not to walk into the home dressing room!” Cardiff start their season in just over two weeks on August 7th. Before then City face Celtic tonight, Bournemouth on Saturday, Yeovil next Tuesday and Parma on Satuday week before the televised opening at West Ham on August 7th. Tickets can be purchased up until kick off and cost £15 for adults, £10 concessions and £5 for kids. Cardiff will include their new signings in tonight's match but Steve McPhail and Paul Quinn are still thought to be carrying niggles. Mackay could still be looking for upto six more players so we may see a different Cardiff side emerge as the friendly matches progress. The football is back people. Hooray
