Cardiff can catch Norwich - Jones

Cardiff boss Dave Jones urged his side to maintain the pressure on Norwich after his side's 1-0 win at Preston kept their hopes of automatic promotion alive.

The Bluebirds' victory looked set to take them above Norwich but Simeon Jackson's hat-trick goal in added time gave the Canaries a dramatic 3-2 home win over Derby.

Yet Jones - who lost defender Kevin McNaughton to injury in the 47th minute - hit out at Norwich having an extra few days to recover from their derby win over Ipswich last Thursday.

Cardiff had played QPR on Saturday and Jones said: "It doesn't matter what anybody else does because we've got no bearing on that.

"We've got to keep applying the pressure. If it's automatic or via the play-offs we've just got to keep going.

"Norwich kept going to the 95th minute and got the goal because they were probably a lot fresher as they had three or four days extra to recover, which is ridiculous."
