Tony Capaldi`s switch to Crystal Palace has fallen through, Eagles manager George Burley has confirmed. The former Cardiff left-back, who was released by Dave Jones at the end of last season, has been on trial with the London club over the summer and played the last 20 minutes of their pre-season friendly at Brentford on Friday. But Burley has confirmed Capaldi will not be starting the new Championship season at Selhurst Park. He told the South London Press: "There was a hiccup and we couldn't manage to finalise the deal so we'll be looking again at that position." Capaldi spent three years with the Bluebirds having arrived from Plymouth in 2007.
