Cardiff manager Dave Jones has offered assurances the club will settle their debt with Motherwell promptly, according to opposite number Craig Brown. Earlier this week, Motherwell owner John Boyle threatened to send in bailiffs to reclaim the £200,000 he believes Cardiff owe his club following the transfer of Paul Quinn. But Brown has moved to diffuse the situation by speaking to Jones. "Dave just wanted to reassure us we would get our money and I know he is a man of his word," said Brown in the Glasgow Evening Times. Boyle added: "I am sure we will receive our money and this whole matter will be put to bed."
