Bothroyd to Newcastle?
The Daily Mirror and The Times today claim Jay Bothroyd is in talks with Newcastle Utd. Bothroyd is out of contract in the summer but it's thought Newcastle could come in now for a January transfer.City's leading scorer has been out of action for over a month with a hamstring injury. It's been thought he could be back in action in a week or so's time. Just maybe it'll be for someone else?The Mirror say that Botthroyd could triple his £10,000 a week wages with a move to St James Park.The form he's shown culminating with an England cap has meant Jay will surely play in the Premier again just we'd hope it would be in August with Cardiff City.Daily Mirror article
