Bothroyd set for Cardiff return

Jay Bothroyd is likely to return to the fold as stuttering Cardiff look for three much-needed points against a Burnley side who last tasted success away from home in April.

The striker missed last weekend`s 1-0 defeat at Middlesbrough with a hamstring strain, a result which extended City`s poor run of form to just one win in their last seven games.

Manager Dave Jones slammed his shaky defence after the Riverside reverse and that could open the door for Chris Riggott to make his debut for the Bluebirds having finally overcome injury and a lengthy battle to regain his fitness.

Michael Chopra could also be recalled in attack as Jones tries to rediscover City`s winning formula, with Craig Bellamy possibly dropping back on to the wing.
