Bothroyd fit despite groin tweet

Jay Bothroyd will be okay for Cardiff's crunch clash against QPR as second meets first in the Championship in the Welsh capital.

The 19-goal striker used Twitter last weekend to state he was nursing a sore groin, sustained in City's 2-0 win at Sheffield United, which forced him off in the closing stages of Saturday`s 3-0 triumph at home to Portsmouth.

But manager Dave Jones has dismissed the complaint and insists Bothroyd will be raring to go at the Cardiff City Stadium.

In fact Jones is not expected to have any new injury or suspension concerns to contend with as the Bluebirds aim to record a fifth successive victory.

It remains to be seen whether Michael Chopra will be involved despite making a speedy recovery from his hamstring tear, but centre-back Mark Hudson (knee) and goalkeeper David Marshall (elbow) remain in the treatment room.
