Bluebirds to monitor pair

Craig Bellamy and Jay Bothroyd are battling to be fit for Cardiff`s trip to Leicester. Bellamy stands the better chance of the two strikers as he looks to recover from the knee problem - sustained while on international duty with Wales - which ruled him out of Saturday`s 2-0 win over Hull. Bothroyd (calf) faces a slightly tougher prospect of proving his fitness in time having also missed out against the Tigers. City already have Michael Chopra on the sidelines until at least next month with an ankle injury. On-loan midfielder Danny Drinkwater was the third player to miss out at the weekend due to an ankle problem of his own and he will undergo a late fitness test. Fellow loanee Seyi Olofinjana netted the opener against his parent club before being forced off with a thigh injury but he should be okay while manager Dave Jones will assess various other bumps and bruises.
