Bluebirds take a look at Klimpl

01 July 2009 13:33
Klimpl, who enjoyed a spell on loan at Motherwell last season, has linked up with Cardiff so that Jones can cast an eye over him in training before deciding whether or not to pursue his interest in the midfielder, skysports.com understands. Jones has made a new midfielder one of his top priorities and he could offer Klimpl a move to the Championship club if he impresses during his stint in Wales. Aberdeen are also keen on signing Klimpl, but Cardiff are in pole position for the player's signature, who could be availble on a free transfer from FC Midtjylland. Klimpl's agent, Kenny Moyes, has confirmed the 28-year-old will spend a week training with Cardiff and that the player would be interested in a move to the club. "Maros has linked up with Cardiff for pre-season training and he will spend a week there," Moyes told skysports.com. "Maros did very well for Motherwell last season and a lot of clubs have been tracking him. "Maros would be very interested in a move to Cardiff and having the chance to play in the Championship."
