After a brief loan spell, Feeney signed for the Bluebirds in the summer of 2007 but found it difficult to nail down a first-team place, resulting in loan periods at Swansea and Dundee United.[LNB]The Northern Ireland international looked all set to complete a move to Leeds in the summer until he failed his medical due to a hip injury. But as he edges closer to full fitness he remains determined to prove his worth to Dave Jones.[LNB]"I've started back training under the guidance of the City physio Sean Connelly, who has been brilliant. I'm close to hitting top fitness and ready to start all over again," the 28-year-old striker told the South Wales Echo.[LNB]"In some respects it is almost a fresh start, a new club for me and a new signing for the club. I do have some unfinished business here and I want to start to make an impression."[LNB]Feeney also denies a rumour that he kissed the Swansea badge during his loan spell with Cardiff's arch-rivals, adding: "That was a load of rubbish, I never kissed any football badges, it's not a thing I do."[LNB][LNB]
