Bluebirds star raring to go again
Following the dramatic end-of-season collapse of the Bluebirds' promotion bid, big names such as Joe Ledley, Ross McCormack and Roger Johnson have all been linked with moves away from Ninian Park.
But Scimeca, who has had four groin operations in a six month spell as well as suffering ankle problems, has little doubt as to where his future lies and is ready to battle his way into Dave Jones' starting XI.
He told the South Wales Echo: "I feel good and still believe I have a lot to offer Cardiff. I need a decent pre-season training programme and then we'll see what happens from there.
"Everybody was disappointed over what happened at the end of last season and now we have to put that right.
"The experience will make us stronger - if we are at a similar point next season we will know a lot more about how to finish the job off."
