Bluebirds star eyeing promotion

The on-loan Fulham forward put in arguably his brightest performance in a Bluebirds shirt on Tuesday night to help the club get back to winning ways against Barnsley. Dave Jones' side are currently fourth in the Championship with games in hand on their promotion rivals, and Johnson insists the immediate future is very bright for the Welsh club. "This squad can take Cardiff City to the Premier League, we all believe that," he told the South Wales Echo. "We prepare thoroughly for every match and we can go to the Premier League. Without a doubt." It is fair to say Johnson has not always shone in the blue of Cardiff since his arrival at the start of the season, but he is starting to win over the Ninian Park faithful and that is something that is very pleasing for the American. "I loved it out there (against Barnsley). The performance was great and we created a lot of chances," he added. "It's been a difficult time since I came here, but the goals will come."
