Aron Gunnarsson saved City's blushes with a 91st minute winner against 9 man Watford.
The visitors led at half time and looked to frustrate City at every opportunity. Their tactics weren't always pretty and their lack of discipline and gamesmanship cost them two men.
City levelled when it was 11 v 10 through a Peter Whittingham penalty. Minutes later it was 11 v 9 but it took until the 91st min for sub Gunnarsson to head the winner.
Even after taking the lead with just minutes to go in injury time Watford nearly snatched a leveller. But not before Craig Noone ran 60 yards on his own before firing wide.
