Bluebirds expect to extend Barnett loan deal

Leon Barnett's loan deal is set to be extended until the end of the season.

The Norwich defender has been a quality replacement for Mark Hudson and was due to play his last game tomorrow against Nottingham Forest.

But it's claimed last night a verbal agreement has been reached to extended the loan and it's expected to be rubber stamped today.

Echo writer Terry Phillips said on Twitter last night

Deal for Barnett has been verbally agreed. Paperwork will be sorted in the morning. Confirmed at highest level!

The man he replaces, Hudson, is out for the rest of the season.
