The 18-year-old starlet has made his name this season having burst onto the scene with City, earning full international recognition from Wales manager John Toshack.[LNB]Manchester United and Arsenal are tracking his progress amid reports of a move to the top flight, but the right-back insists the first-team opportunities on offer at Cardiff compared to Old Trafford or the Emirates makes staying in the Welsh capital a more appealing proposition.[LNB]"If I went to a Premier League club I wouldn't get to play so much, so I can rule out a move like that," said Matthews in the Western Mail.[LNB]"I'm happy to remain at Cardiff for as long as possible. There is a great bunch of players here and a good coaching staff. I play regularly here, so I'm learning anyway."[LNB]Asked about rumours tying him to a high-profile switch, the youngster added: "I just try to forget about it to be honest and remain level-headed. I'm just concentrating on playing my best football for Cardiff and, with the speculation over and the January transfer window gone, I can just get on and do that."[LNB][LNB]
