The last gasp goal by Spurs cost City a couple of places.

If Aron Gunnarsson had buried his chance then Cardiff could have gone above Man Utd with a win over Spurs. The goal conceeded means Cardiff are 16th after five games.

Defeat against a quality Spurs side who will be challenging for major honours this season is no disgrace but City have to look at the next two games as point gaining oportunities.

City are away at Fulham (18th) next Saturday and then at home to Newcastle a week later.

Sunday's fixtures were dominated by Man City's 4 - 1 win over Man Utd. Swansesa won at Palace and Arsenal beat Stoke 3 - 1 to go top of the BPL.
