Blake has Bluebirds managerial aim

Born in Cardiff, Blake spent four years at his hometown club between 1990 and 1994 before moving on to Sheffield United and pastures new, becoming a fully-fledged Wales international in a career that spanned over 15 years. Blake has always been a fans' favourite at Ninian Park and following his retirement in 2006, he is looking to make a return to the game in the dugout. He told the South Wales Echo: "Of course it goes without saying that to manage Cardiff City would be a dream come true. "The general idea is to take things as far as I can. I'm still only 37. I don't know where this is going to lead or if it is going to happen at all, but I feel I've got a lot to offer the game. "I've got a lot of experience and knowledge. I was in the game a long time and it is still something I love. I've always been considered by other players as a player's player and what I lack in coaching knowledge, I'm willing to learn as quickly as I can."
