Blackburn join Cardiff in next season's Championship

Rovers' hold on a Premier league place came to an end last night.

Blackburn's slim hopes of survival were crushed when Wigan scored an 87th minute winner at Ewood Park last night. It sent Blackburn down and saved Wigan who will play Premier league football again next season.

So that's two teams relegated from the Premier League. Wolves and Blackburn. They will be joined by either Bolton or QPR. Bolton simply have to win at Stoke on Saturday and hope that QPR lose at Man City. A draw is not enough for Bolton.

With Charlton and Sheffield Wednesday promoted from League 1 we now know twenty of the teams in next season's Championship.
