Bellamy savours derby winner

Hometown hero Craig Bellamy enjoyed his "special" matchwinner at Swansea and insists Cardiff took no pre-match motivation from avoiding becoming the first side to suffer double league defeat in the derby. The Cardiff-born boyhood Bluebirds fan curled home a stunning 85th-minute winner to clinch the club`s first triumph on Swansea soil since 1997 and claim three crucial promotion points. "It was special," Bellamy told Cardiff City Player. "Late stages of a derby - they`re special, special moments. I`ve been very fortunate in my career that this seems to happen to me in derbies." The goal also meant Cardiff avoided headlining an unwanted chapter in the 82-year history books following Swansea`s 1-0 victory at the Cardiff City Stadium in November. But Bellamy added: "I don`t feel anyone talked about that. We knew it was a big game because we wanted three points as well. We knew it because of Forest winning again and QPR winning again. I`m sure Swansea were thinking the same, both teams knew we needed the three points. "But when it comes to the derby doubles - that will happen in the next few years. I`ll tell you that now - one team will beat each other twice so it`s only a matter of time before that happens."
