Bellamy in line for Cardiff debut

Craig Bellamy is poised to make his Cardiff debut against Doncaster after the club confirmed his registration to play.

The Bluebirds are anticipating a bumper home crowd for the Championship clash, following Bellamy's arrival at his hometown club on a season-long loan from Manchester City earlier this week.

Bellamy's availability could see boss Dave Jones switch to a 4-3-3 formation, with the Wales international joining Michael Chopra and Jay Bothroyd in the three-pronged attack.

Stephen McPhail has returned to light training this week following cartilage surgery. The clash with Rovers comes too soon for the former Leeds player but fellow midfielder Jason Koumas could return to claim a place on the bench.

Teenager Aaron Wildig has returned to training but will miss out with a knee problem.
