A long way to go to get battered

First time for me to Newcastle. A view from afarI liked the City alot, very vibrant and lots going on. 6 hours on the train to get there was a bit of a slog but far better then driving. Arriving relaxed there was no problem mixing in a pub 10 mins walk from the ground. All home fans but our little group were happy enough with no colours having a couple of pints. The ground is impressive to look at, with two side just massive. But when you climb the 14 sets of stairs to get to your seat you realise that it's too big. It was like watching a subbuteo game. Difficult to work out what players were what at times and no way of judging the height of the ball. The game was a disaster, less less said the better. The Newcastle fans up in the rafters alongside us had a great time as you'd expect. After the match there was a bit of pushing and shoving with a couple of minor skirmishes, brought on by one set of fans having every reason to gloat. We moved away quickly, back to the station and out to a hotel on the outskirts. A refreshing night's sleep and a 6 hours train ride home made the weekend an experience.Hopefully the game will just be a one off. We don't usually get doffed like that. We had our fun at Bristol City getting 6 so It's just one of those things.Three points at home to Peterborough on Tuesday is vital.
