Eto'o to sit out Serbia clash

Samuel Eto'o will miss Cameroon's international friendly against Serbia in Belgrade on Saturday due to suspension, a spokesman for the country's football association has confirmed.

The Inter Milan striker was red-carded in another World Cup warm-up match against Portugal earlier this week after two yellow cards.

Linus Pascal Fouda, press officer for the Indomitable Lions, told www.camer-sport.be that Eto'o "is definitely out" of the clash with the Serbs, with the Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT) now waiting to hear from FIFA if their captain will face further sanctions.

The 29-year-old, who was given a week off prior to joining a pre-World Cup training camp after winning the Champions League with his club, has been the centre of attention in recent days after his war of words with former player Roger Milla.

Milla, one of the stars of the 1990 finals, questioned the forward's commitment to the national cause, prompting an angry reaction including a threat to quit the team.
