Cameroon have been cleared to return to international competition after FIFA lifted a ban imposed for government interference.
The Cameroonian Football Association (FECAFOOT) was excluded on July 4 but the team will now be able to complete their qualifying campaign for next year's World Cup.
A FIFA statement read: "FIFA passed a decision today, 22 July 2013, to lift the suspension of the Cameroonian Football Association (Fecafoot) given that the conditions previously set have been met."
The ban came days after Iya Mohammed's re-election as the head of FECAFOOT was suspended pending an appeal from the national governing body.
FIFA set up a "normalisation committee" to revise the FECAFOOT statutes and to organise elections for new office bearers by March 31, 2014.
And Monday's statement continued: "As requested by the FIFA Emergency Committee, the normalisation committee that was appointed on 20 July 2013 was able to take up its duties this Monday, 22 July 2013, at the FECAFOOT headquarters, with FIFA and CAF observers present.
"The lifting of the suspension means that FECAFOOT's clubs, officials and other representatives can immediately resume their activities, which had been interrupted. The same applies for the resumption of the courses and various programmes provided by FIFA, CAF and other member associations.
"FIFA and CAF will continue to closely monitor the situation, particularly in relation to the revision of the FECAFOOT statutes."
Cameroon host Libya on September 6 in their final game in World Cup Qualifying Group I and, thanks to another FIFA decision announced the same day as FECAFOOT's suspension, need just a draw to progress to the play-off stage.
Togo's win over Cameroon on June 9 was overturned after Togo were found to have fielded an ineligible player, the suspended Alaixys Romao. Cameroon were awarded the game 3-0.
