Venus agrees U's deal

The 36-year-old former Wolves and Ipswich Town star is expected to put pen to paper shortly.

"It's been hard work and I wasn't sure he'd come, but we're obviously delighted that he's decided to spend a year with us," U's boss John Taylor told the club's official website.

Venus has a wealth of experience giving played 500 League games during an 18-year professional career.
