Cambridge United are looking to seal the permanent signing of Hull City striker Daniel Webb this week.
The U's took Webb on loan from their Nationwide Division Three rivals last month, but boss John Taylor is anxious to sign the 20-year-old on a long-term basis in order to fill the void left by prolific striker Dave Kitson's sale to Reading.
Taylor told the club's official website: "We need to see if we can get things sorted out with Daniel.
"Obviously we've got to talk to him and his father (former Chelsea player David Webb) and see if we can get something sorted."
