Defender Josh Coulson and striker Medy Elito both ruled out for Cambridge

Cambridge have been dealt a double injury blow ahead of the FA Cup clash with Coventry.

Defender Josh Coulson requires surgery on the ankle problem he suffered against Wycombe and is not expected to play again this season.

And forward Medy Elito faces three months out as he struggles to overcome a knee injury.

Boss Shaun Derry will leave it as late as possible to see if Conor Newton is fit enough to return from a hamstring problem.

Coventry have been given a double boost after loanees Lewis Page and Dan Agyei were granted permission to play in the FA Cup.

West Ham have allowed left back Page to play while Burnley gave the green light for striker Agyei after the pair did not feature in the first round replay win over Morecambe.

Jamie Sterry and Marvin Sordell are also available after they served one-match bans for collecting five bookings this season.

Midfielder Andy Rose remains doubtful with a thigh strain and Kwame Thomas (groin) is sidelined and not expected to return for the Sky Blues until after Christmas but Chris Stokes (knee) is back in training.
