Jake Gosling set for Cambridge debut

Cambridge could hand a debut to Gibraltar international Jake Gosling when they host Carlisle in Sky Bet League Two.

The winger arrived on a six-month loan from Bristol Rovers on Thursday to boost Shaun Derry's attacking options.

Winger Harrison Dunk (hamstring) and midfielder George Maris (thigh) remain sidelined, while boss Derry has said another player, who he would not name, will miss out because of injury.

Forward Adam McGurk is a long-term absentee with a knee problem.

Carlisle will be looking to build on the momentum from substitute Jason Kennedy's last-minute equaliser against Cheltenham on Tuesday, but boss Keith Curle could name the same side for the third game running.Fellow sub Jabo Ibehre could be pushing for a start after a lively performance off the bench in the second half, while Luke Joyce and Nicky Adams will hope to build on good displays.Winger Jamie Devitt is still looking for his first start since being sent off on his debut against Portsmouth earlier this month. The Cumbrians are unbeaten so far this term, drawing two and winning one of their opening three games so far this season.
