Bristol Rovers leave it late to secure fourth consecutive away victory

Bristol Rovers earned a fourth straight away win with a 2-1 success at Cambridge.

The hosts took the lead after 33 minutes when Harrison Dunk produced a splendid cross from the left for Barry Corr to nod beyond Lee Nicholls.

Ryan Donaldson had previously wasted a shooting opportunity when played in by Luke Berry's pass, while Corr had a penalty appeal waved away when he went down under Tom Lockyer's challenge.

Rovers were livelier after the break and Ellis Harrison saw his effort blocked before seeing a header hit the top of the crossbar after Lee Brown's cross. Jermaine Easter then saw his backheeled effort saved by Chris Dunn.

They were level in the 66th minute when Dunn parried Matt Taylor's low effort but presented Harrison with a simple tap-in.

Substitute Taylor then struck the winner eight minutes from time, running onto a dreadful Greg Taylor backpass before rounding Dunn and scoring.

Cambridge are still seeking successive wins this season, while Darrell Clarke's side have only lost once away from home.
