Cossu laughs off Barca talk

Cagliari midfielder Andrea Cossu has dismissed speculation linking him with a summer move to Spanish giants Barcelona.

The Italian star has helped his side climb to a lofty eighth position in Serie A this term and they further aided their fight to avoid relegation with a 3-1 win against Bari on Sunday.

Cossu scored the third goal and received the plaudits after the game, but he wants to concentrate on securing the side's immediate future in the top-flight.

Speaking to TMW after the game, he said: "We can all have a big laugh, as I am not being watched by Barcelona.

"I am doing very well here at Cagliari, as the side is part of my city.

"The applause that we received was very generous by the fans, as we did not expect that.

"But the important thing is that the side is winning and playing good football."
