Talks on town's tram upgrade plan

An £84m investment plan to upgrade Metrolink trams and rail services in Oldham has been earmarked for approval by councillors.The plans form part of a £1.5bn transport expansion scheme agreed by the Association of Greater Manchester Authorities (AGMA) executive. At the meeting on Wednesday councillors will be asked to agree the plans. The new Metrolink line is set to have six stops in Oldham, including the town centre, and will extend to Rochdale.
