Share of spoils satisfies Shakers chief

Bury manager Alan Knill was happy with a point following the 1-1 draw with league leaders Chesterfield. Craig Davies gave Chesterfield the lead in the 20th minute but Ryan Lowe equalised less than a minute into the second half for the Shakers. Deane Smalley was dismissed in the 85th minute for Chesterfield but his side held on for a draw. Knill said: "I am happy with a point because any point at this stage of the season is a good point. "We gifted them a goal so you think here we go, we've given the opposition a 1-0 start. "And when it's a side that's top of the league like Chesterfield you think we're not coming back, so I thought the reaction to the goal was as good as anything I've seen from my players."
