Shakers thrown out of FA Cup

Bury will appeal after it was confirmed by the Football Association that they had been removed from this season's FA Cup for fielding an ineligible player.
Chester City have been reinstated in the competition after the Shakers were found to have breached FA Cup rules.
Stephen Turnbull, currently on loan at Gigg Lane from Hartlepool United, played in the second round replay between the two clubs earlier this month, but had not received the required permission from his parent club.
Chester City will now play Ipswich Town in the third round of the FA Cup. Bury's appeal will be heard at a hearing on Thursday 28 December.
