Shakers snap up striker

Bury have landed Chester City striker Simon Yeo on loan until the end of the season.

The 34-year-old was originally targeted by the Shakers' director of football Keith Alexander during the summer.

Yeo will miss Bury's forthcoming cup games with Norwich City and Morecambe, but is expected to make his debut in the following weekend's clash with Darlington.

The Stockport-born striker has netted four times for Chester this season.

He joined the Blues 12 months ago but has struggled to hold down a first-term spot following Bobby Williamson's arrival as manager in the summer.
