Bury have shelved plans to consider moving to a new ground until their Football League status is secured.

The Shakers are currently 21st in the League Two table and have decided to hold off conducting a feasibility study into a move away from their historic Gigg Lane home.

"The directors have decided that the feasibility study will be put onto the back burner at the moment because it is our belief that everybody's efforts should be channelled into securing our league status," read a club statement.

"We have had a number of letters asking questions about the study.

"It is more important our efforts are used to secure the club's immediate future."
