Shakers move for keeper

Bury have solved a potential goalkeeping crisis by signing Doncaster Rovers custodian Andy Warrington on a month's loan.

The 30-year-old will provide cover for the Shakers who are poised to lose current number one Kasper Schmeichel who will return to Manchester City after the weekend trip to Swindon.

With Alan Fettis still a few weeks short of his comeback from a broken arm, Warrington will provide emergency cover at Gigg Lane.

"We're delighted to have brought Andy in and he's a big plus for us," said Shakers boss Chris Casper.

"He's very experienced but he's been out for quite a while with a leg injury. He's fit again now and his experience will be important for us."
