Shakers finally snare Carlton

Bury manager Alan Knill has finally landed long-term target Danny Carlton.
The former Morecambe and Carlisle United striker, who was linked with the Shakers in January, was released by the Cumbrians at the end of last season after enduring a difficult two years at Brunton Park.
Carlton told Bury's official website: "I've finally got here. Apparently this was the gaffer's third attempt at signing me.
"It's good to know that another manager wants you and is talking about you, even though I was at another club.
"It's good for me to finally be here and I've no doubt that the gaffer will be smiling about it now."
