Shakers earn Knill praise

Bury manager Alan Knill praised his side for their recovery in a 2-1 win at Grimsby Town which kept their promotion challenge on track.

Second-half goals from Andy Bishop and Andy Morrell secured a crucial three points, with Knill telling the club's official website: "We have 15 games left and we have to be like this for those 15 games, then you never know what can happen.

"I'm delighted with it and you can see the belief in the team. At 1-0 down, it was important that we don't go 2-0 down.

"If it goes 2-0 then it becomes a struggle, but at 1-0 down I believe we are always capable of getting back into the game.

"At 1-0 down I would have taken a draw, but probably would have been disappointed because we did have good opportunities."
